It's been a while since I've gone shopping for a good bed. To be honest I've slept very well on both cheap memory foam mattresses and what would be considered more of a standard mattress. The one that is most suited for you is really a personal decision as both kinds can be very comfortable.
These days, I have opted for cheap memory foam mattresses as my own choice. Not that I'll never go back or anything. But for right now, I am getting the best rest on one of these. I sort of have a habit of liking things to be different though. I guess I get bored easily. I enjoy moving around a lot, and dressing drastically differently from day to day too. Variety is the spice of life.
Who knows, in another year I might be trading in the idea of both the accepted standard as well as cheap memory foam mattresses for a water bed. That would certainly keep things different, wouldn't it! I've never even been on one of those. It must be like sleeping in the middle of the ocean. I hope there aren't any storms a brewing!
Initially, I was a little bit reluctant to even try out anything different at all when it comes to how I sleep. I was happy enough with my old style of bed, and I figured that if it ain't broke then why fix it. What sold me on it was simply the timely recommendation by an old friend. I desperately needed to replace what I had at the time and she swore by them.
I did some online poking around after that. I think everyone's first stop is the internet these days when they want some information. I saw all the demonstrations where someone pushed their hand into cheap memory foam mattresses and the imprint stayed there for a while. It looked like it was just meant to hug your body as you sleep, and who doesn't like hugs? I also read some stuff about how it responds to your body temperature, keeping you warm on those cold, winter nights. That part sold me too, cause who doesn't like warm hugs?
That's around the time that I went from just a browser of cheap memory foam mattresses to an actual owner. and boy, am I happy that I did. This thing is just as comfortable as my friend told me it was, and I'm sleeping really well on it. I'm not saying that I'm hooked for life. But I'm happy for right now, and I can recommend that everyone at least try it out. After all, most of living is finding out things for yourself, right? Maybe next time I really will try that waterbed. Ahoy, matey!
